Netflix FTX trailer was ‘enough to upset me’ in first 30 seconds: former FTX COO

Former FTX COO Constance Wang recently voiced her strong displeasure regarding a newly released Netflix trailer depicting the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange. Within the first thirty seconds of viewing, she felt deeply unsettled by how the streamer characterized her former coworkers and executive team. Wang noted that the dramatic portrayals failed to accurately reflect her day-to-day experiences working directly under Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison. The high-profile collapse of FTX continues to inspire intense media scrutiny, dramatic retellings, and documentary projects examining one of the largest financial frauds in history. Such media adaptations keep public interest high in the ongoing legal and cultural fallout surrounding the exchange's demise. For the broader cryptocurrency industry, these cultural touchpoints serve as persistent reminders of the governance failures that triggered strict regulatory scrutiny across the sector. Continued sensationalized coverage may prolong reputational challenges for digital asset platforms attempting to rebuild mainstream institutional trust.
