This prolonged period allowed the hackers ample time to navigate the exchange's systems before executing the massive $6.3 billion exploit. SEAL's investigation also identified recurring patterns in the intrusion methods used. The firm noted that similar multi-stage intrusion techniques were employed in other significant cryptocurrency heists, citing the $388 million hack on Bitget as a comparable example. This suggests a potential link or shared methodology among sophisticated crypto-hacking groups.
