A recent analysis by cybersecurity firm SEAL has revealed critical details regarding the security breach at the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. According to the report, the perpetrators behind the exploit had an extended intrusion window of approximately eight weeks. This prolonged period allowed the hackers ample time to navigate the exchange's systems before executing the massive $6.3 billion exploit. SEAL's investigation also identified recurring patterns in the intrusion methods used. The firm noted that similar multi-stage intrusion techniques were employed in other significant cryptocurrency heists, citing the $388 million hack on Bitget as a comparable example.
