Qubic zamraża łańcuch po tym, jak haker wyczyścił 1,4 tys. portfeli ze słabymi ziarnami

The Qubic blockchain network was forced to halt operations following a security breach that resulted in the draining of approximately 1,400 user wallets utilizing vulnerable seed generation. According to project maintainers, swift action allowed the containment of the incident, leaving 87.1% of the stolen funds remaining visible on-chain while a portion was successfully frozen at the MEXC cryptocurrency exchange. Network validators are currently organizing a formal governance vote to approve a comprehensive recovery and remediation plan for affected users. Security incidents of this nature underscore the persistent risks associated with weak cryptographic key generation and user seed management in decentralized systems. Exchanges and security researchers continue to cooperate to trace illicit transfers and prevent liquidation of the compromised assets. The temporary chain freeze highlights the complex trade-offs between decentralization and emergency intervention during major protocol exploits.
