Estimativa de suposto roubo de criptomoedas na UE sobe para US$ 133M: ZachXBT

Prominent onchain sleuth ZachXBT has uncovered additional illicit fund movements linked to a major European cryptocurrency exploit, pushing total estimated losses to $133 million. The investigator tracked an extra $27 million in suspicious exchange withdrawals, some of which executed after the initial compromise was publicly disclosed. This ongoing drain highlights vulnerabilities in the targeted platforms and raises concerns regarding the speed of incident response and asset freezing protocols across centralized exchanges. Such large-scale exploits undermine investor confidence in digital asset custody and can trigger stricter regulatory scrutiny over platform security standards. As forensic teams continue to trace the stolen coins through mixers and cross-chain bridges, recovery efforts remain exceptionally challenging. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the persistent security risks facing cryptocurrency holders and intermediaries in the decentralized finance ecosystem.
