Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin is set to initiate a phased reopening starting Monday, following a security incident. Initially, customers will regain the ability to view their account holdings. However, trading and withdrawal functionalities will remain suspended as the exchange conducts thorough security checks. This measured approach aims to ensure the integrity of user assets and rebuild trust after the breach. The company has not yet disclosed the full extent of the incident or the specific security measures being implemented. Further updates on the timeline for full service restoration are expected.
