Who we are

What we collect

Account data: your email address, display name and a salted scrypt hash of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Content you post: comments, replies, likes and reports, together with the time they were made and the language of the interface.

Device data: preferences such as language, theme, watchlist and cookie choice are stored in cookies and local storage on your device.

Analytics cookies are used only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner.

How we use it

To provide the news feed, comments and notifications, to prevent spam and abuse, to translate comments into your language, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data.

Service providers

Cloudflare Workers AI (AI summaries of news and translation of comments; comment text is sent without your account identifier), Binance public market data (prices), and our hosting provider. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Retention

Comments stay public until you delete your account or they are removed by moderation. When you delete your account, your account, sessions, comments and likes are deleted immediately.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. Delete your account in Account settings, or write to support@binonews.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local authority.

Children

BinoNews is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
